Professor Andrew Haruna FNAL, FLAN, Appointed As The Secretary-General of the CVCNU

The Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities (CVCNU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Andrew Haruna FNAL, FLAN as its new Secretary-General. He officially assumed office on 4th November 2024.

Professor Haruna, a renowned academic and visionary leader, who brings extensive experience and expertise to this esteemed position. As a distinguished Professor of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages, he previously served as the Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Gashua, Yobe State. His contributions to academia and leadership include serving as the Pro-Chancellor of Bingham University, Karu, Vice-President of the Nigerian Academy of Letters (NAL), and Fellow of both the Nigerian Academy of Letters (FNAL) and the Linguistics Association of Nigeria (FLAN).

With an exemplary track record in advancing education, fostering innovation, and driving institutional collaboration, Professor Haruna has consistently demonstrated a passion for transforming higher education. His dedication and strategic vision are poised to lead the CVCNU into a new era of excellence and impact.
