Achievers University, Owo founded in 2007
The motto of the University is Knowledge, Integrity and Leadership with a very clear vision to be the best University in Africa and indeed one of the best in the world.  The mission of the University is to produce a total man, morally sound, properly educated and entrepreneurially oriented that would be useful to himself and the society.  The University, which promises to be an epitome of excellence, was a product of several years of planning and strategies. Since the commencement of academic activities during the 2007/2008 academic session the University has been highly commended for taking the right steps in the right directions.

The University is located at Idasen area of Owo in Owo Local Government, Ondo State. Owo is a city which is a distance of 45 kilometres from Akure, the state capital and almost equidistant from Abuja and Lagos.  It is about one-hour drive from Benin.  The town is host to National Museum, State Hospital, the state-owned Rufus Giwa Polytechnic and the Federal Medical Centre, with which the University has a relationship.  The people of Owo are generally friendly and accommodating, and have penchant for farming and trading.

Achievers University is planned and structured to carve a niche for herself in the world of education through her resolve to adopt international benchmark in all areas, including academic curriculum, infrastructure and general administration.  Some of the special features of the University include:

  • Full automation of all programmes, including interactive boards in all classes (I.T. Driven);

  • Practical computer literacy programme for all students; and

  • Provision of accommodation for all students.
