| MCPHERSON University is an initiative of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria that has taken education as one of its basic foundations. The church in its quest to develop and equip men and women for leadership and service, established a seminary in Ikorodu, Lagos state in 1955. The seminary is perhaps the best in the country today. The church has also established Nursery, Primary and Secondary schools in many towns and cities of Nigeria. The establishment of a University by the organization, therefore, and although in response to the call of the Federal Government on Nigeria for partnership in tertiary education delivery, is the ultimate in the organisation’s educational goal.
