| Professor D. O. Kolawole holds both the B.Sc (Hons) and M.Sc. Degrees of the Ahmadu Bello University and a Ph.D from the University of Birmingham. He also holds a Certificate of the Haggai Institute for Advanced Leadership Studies, Singapore and has attended numerous other Certificate Training Courses and Workshops. His teaching and research career within and outside Nigeria span more than four decades, during which he made remarkable contributions to knowledge in General and Medical Microbiology, his main areas of specialization. He has been privileged to serve as a consultant to the Federal Ministries of Environment and Health (2002-2004) and resource person to the National Universities Commission (1999 to date).
