| Prof Ajibefun was born in Irele, local government area of Ondo State, southwestern Nigeria. He attended the University of Ibadan where he obtained a master's degree in Agricultural economics and then returned to his alma mater where he was awarded a doctorate (Ph.D.) degree in Agricultural economics.He is a member European Society for Soil Conservation (ESSC) and International Association for Agricultural Economists (IAAE).
