UNIVERSITY OF JOS GETS NEW VICE CHANCELLOR
The Governing Council the University of Jos has appointed Professor Tanko Ishaya as the New Vice Chancellor the University.
A Professor of Computer Science, with a Mathematics background and experience in Data Engineering , Computer Security and Forensics. He has a B.Sc. in Mathematics Education which he obtained from the University of Jos and an M.Sc. in Computation from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.
Professor Tanko’s research interests are diverse and ranges from providing Technology support in variety of areas and more Technical aspects of Security and trustworthy computing, digital and computer forensics computing.
Subsequently, he will take over from Professor. Gray Goziem Ejikeme, whose term as Acting Vice-Chancellor expires on the 30th November, 2021.
Professor Ishaya hails from Zuru, Kebbi State. He is married to Mrs. Sharon Ishaya and the marriage is blessed with three children.
