Committee of Pro-Chancellors of State-owned Universities Appoints a New Chairman and Vice Chairman

The Committee of Pro-Chancellors of State-owned Universities in Nigeria (COPSUN) has elected Yusuf Ali SAN, as the Chairman of the Committee and Professor Zachary Gundu as the Vice Chairman.

The Committee of Pro-Chancellors of State-owned Universities in Nigeria was established in 2005, and its main objective is to articulate peer review of optimal governance practices and maintain effective and uninterrupted delivery of high-quality tertiary education in state owned institutions.
Ali, called on all stakeholders to chart a new course of repositioning and sustaining Tertiary Education in the country and also promised to restore the core value of Education to Tertiary Institutions in the country.
Yusuf Ali SAN Is currently the pro chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Osun State University.
He also expressed his deep concern over the current stalemate in the university system and pledged his committee’s readiness to parley widely to minimize crisis.
